Perhaps this is simply Microsoft’s idea of “product placement”, as the BSOD is one of the more recognizable features of Windows, and perhaps transcends all language barriers.

Product placement just does not get much worse than this… The picture below is from the official opening ceremony of Beijing 2008 Olympics Games. Yes I know, it’s not really Mac related news. But the picture will most probably make most Mac users smile at least a little bit.

Despite having one of the worst mobile phone cameras on the market, the Apple iPhone
is the clear leader in number of picture uploads to Flicker from mobile cameras. Unlike ars technica however I don’t think it’s all about functionality though; with mobile camera images approaching megabytes in size a mobile data subscription is really needed to simplify online distribution. And having an iPhone without a mobile data subscription is kind of like having a car without fuel.
