Fantasktik

Switching between windows has never been so easy. Fantasktik shows all your windows in a smart and stylish way, giving you a 1-click access to any of them.

From docklandsoft.com

An interesting new task switcher from OS X startup company DocklandSoft has emerged called Fantasktik (try to say that fast 10 times in a row). It basically gives you a Windows Vista-styled taskbar (with task grouping and window previews) that you can position at the top or bottom of your screen.

Personally I am happy with using Witch as my task switcher, but this little application might prove itself as a viable replacement to the Dock if it supports things like overlays showing the number of unread messages etc. Oh well, I’ll just wait for the reviews to drop in. I have a busy day today.

Heh, after seeing this entry I’m giving the evaluation copy a try, it is really nice and offers a full preview of a window when you hover over which is nice, I can check my Jabber List or other windows without having to switch to iChat.

Only problem: no support for Spaces which is really annoying, I guess I’ll make my decision whether I can use it without Spaces or not within the 15 day evaluation, just wanted to thank you for pointing it out.
